Mr. Haleck began his impressive career with the Los Angeles Police Department in 1974, serving as Senior Firearms Instructor for SWAT, and co-authoring the existing Firearms Manual for LAPD SWAT training techniques. He has served as Patrol Field Supervisor, in charge of all firearms related training and tactical watch training at the police divisional level. His expertise covers all types of firearms and tactics, including barricaded suspect, hostage incidents, high risk warrant service and SWAT missions. His long list of certifications include Advanced POST certifications, FBI/NRA Firearms Instructor Course, Expert Rating at the American Pistol Institute Pistol Course and Tactical Shotgun, LAPD certified Urban Rifle Instructor, and Officer Survival Training. Mr. Haleck is a consultant for the National Tactical Officer’s Association, International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors, and numerous other organizations. He also has expertise in warrant service, hostage rescue tactics, covert movement, and sub-machine gun tactics.
