Basic Security Officer Training

This Training Program is designed to cover the fundamental skills, procedures and basic knowledge required for the security officer to adequately perform his/her security duties. This program is designed to assist each participant in reaching a level of proficiency that will enhance their ability to analyze and prevent problems and to react quickly and appropriately in threatening situations. All of BMTC's Weapons and Personal Defense courses are NOT limited to static shooting techniques. Each participant MUST be physically capable of jogging short distances and able to perform the strenuous drills and exercises required during the tactical operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • NO criminal record
  • Able to PASS background & drug check
  • Valid California ID or Drivers License
  • Ability to meet physical challenges of training
  • Able to read, write , speak & understand English
  • MUST want to make a difference and be willing to WORK
  • After completion of this 2 week course, we assist you with job placement.

The curriculum also includes Personal Defense Training and Firearms Training and Qualification.


Upon successful completion of the Security Officers Training Program, you will be able to qualify for your California Guard Card and Exposed Weapons Firearms Permit. Our staff has many years of EXPERIENCE in law enforcement, security and the military, so you will be able to learn what only experience can teach. BMTC offers hands on instruction and we are able to work with individuals as well as the whole group. This enables participants to get the help and instruction that they need. We are always available to answer questions and assist students with areas of concern.
